Milestones and the inbox

#Milestones

A milestone is a group of tasks. The milestone field of a task or an exploration names it. No other file lists them.

The session for the plan makes them. See 7. Plan the work.

The panel shows a progress bar for each one. It counts done and consumed items. It does not count discarded items. The current milestone is the first one with a task that is not done.

#The inbox

inbox.md holds work that is not a task yet, with one line for each item.

A line comes from three places:

  • You write it.
  • The session that closes the direction or the plan writes it.
  • accept writes each item under ## Discovered work of a task.

A line leaves the inbox when it becomes work, or when you drop it. intake removes it.

#GitHub issues and milestones

factory-kit makes no GitHub issue and no GitHub milestone. The files in the hub are the only record. factories-hub has a script that copies them to GitHub. factory-kit leaves it out.
