8. Your daily routine
This is most of the work. You shape tasks and review pull requests. Agents build.
#What to do next
Open the panel, and take the first of these that exists.
| Order | What you see | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | needs you on a card, or at the top of the panel | Open the session, and answer it. |
| 2 | A card in Review | Read the pull request. Merge it and press Accept, or comment and press Triage. |
| 3 | A card in Draft with blocked | Press Probe, and answer the question. |
| 4 | A card in Draft in the current milestone | Press Probe. |
| 5 | A card in Ready in the current milestone, with its dependencies done | Press Build. |
| 6 | Nothing left in the milestone | Read the inbox, and start the next milestone. |
The current milestone is the first one with a task that is not done. Finished work comes first, because a task in review blocks the tasks after it.
#One task, start to end
Probe → Build → read the pull request → Merge → AcceptYou can run some builds at the same time, when their tasks do not depend on each other. Start with one, until you trust the checks.
#Close your sessions
A session does not end by itself. When it finishes, it waits at its prompt. Type /exit, or the panel keeps it open, and its button only says that it is running.
| Word in the panel | What to do |
|---|---|
| running | Nothing |
| needs you | Answer it |
| your turn | Read its last message, then type /exit |
#Keep ideas out of the way
A new idea does not interrupt a milestone. Add one line to inbox.md, and commit it. accept also adds to the inbox the work that a build noticed and did not do.
Read the inbox only when you finish a milestone. To turn a line into work, open the Inbox tab, and press Intake beside it.
#Make the factory better
When you correct the same thing twice, make it a rule. On the second correction, ask for this under ## Context changes of the task. When you accept the task, the rule goes to context/rules/, and each later session reads it.
Write a rule for this under Context changes: [what the agent must do], because [the reason].Keep a rule only if a future task would get it wrong without it. Each rule makes each session longer.
